Lincoln Parish Park
Lincoln Parish park is rated as "one of the best mountain bike trails in America." But it's not just for cyclists. There's also a beach with lifeguards from Memorial Day to Labor Day, as well as a campground for both RVs and primitive camping (tents only). The campsite for RVs includes full hookups for water, sewage and electricity.
Chemin-a-Haut State Park
Located in Bastrop, LA, the Chemin-a-Haut State Park has it all. Activities include freshwater fishing, cabin camping, a playground for the kids, swimming, picnicing and trail hiking. What's even better? It's open 365 days a year.
Fishing
There's something special about a day on the water. And there are a ton of great places all over Louisiana to fish. (Where do you think all our great food comes from?) Near us are the Ouachita River near Monroe and Caddo Lake on the outskirts of Shreveport for some freshwater fishing.
Hunting
There's nothing quite like a hunting trip, and there are plenty of great places to hunt across Louisiana, such as the Mississippi Flyaway near Lake Charles. It's rich in waterfowl. There's also the Grosse Savanne Lodge, one of the top hunting and fishing lodges in the state. Other great hunting lodges include Honey Brake, Wild Hog Ridge Hunting Club and Giles Island.

If you've ever been canoeing or kayaking, you'll find it's quite peaceful.
